First win for Toyota Racing

The hard work by our colleagues at Toyota Motorsport in Germany has paid off in just the team’s third race. The Toyota Racing TS030 HYBRID #7 car led the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo from start to finish, to claim the team’s first victory at the fifth round of the World Endurance Championship. Two months ago, we returned to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans with Toyota Racing’s TS030 HYBRID. Even under tremendous time pressure – with just a few weeks to get the second car ready for the big race – we arrived at the epic La Sarthe circuit in France, both cars raring to go. Toyota Racing TS030 HYBRID at Goodwood

Fresh from leading the Le Mans 24 Hours with the TS030 HYBRID, Toyota Racing headed to the Goodwood Festival of Speed to showcase the ground-breaking super-capacitor system to thousands of motorsport enthusiasts.

The actual #7 car in which Nicolas Lapierre took the lead at Le Sarthe took to the short hill climb twice a day for all three days, giving fans a potent demonstration of its hybrid technology.

Toyota Racing ends heroic effort at Le Mans

The race is over for Toyota Racing at the 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans. After being pushed right to the back of the LMP1 class after a protracted repair session, the #7 car was forced to retire with further issues. We will update you with the details shortly.
