We started this morning bright and early at the track. However, just before Warm Up practice started at 09:00 CET, heavy clouds moved over the track. Temperatures remained low throughout the session with air temperature at 15°C and track temperature slightly higher at 17°C. There’s a sense of moisture in the air throughout the session as humidity levels stayed around 86%.
Both cars went out for installation laps with Nicolas Lapierre in the #7 and Anthony Davidson in the #8. The first representative times came in for us in the 3min30sec zone. Our cars traded P4 and P5 positions before Nicolas put in a blistering lap of 3:26.227 on his penultimate of 10 laps to go fastest during the session. The lead gap, before yet another red flag stopped and ended the session, was 0.5sec to P2.
We are closing in on 15:00 CET when the flag will drop to start the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours race. Keep following us on Twitter (@Toyota_Hybrid) for all the latest.

Our #8 car crossed the finish line in a well-deserved 2nd place with drivers Anthony Davidson, Sébastien Buemi and Stéphane Sarrazin. Anthony took some time out after the podium ceremony to share his thoughts on coming back from last year’s accident to stepping on the podium. The ultimate goal is still the same: we want to win Le Mans 24 Hours.
